Easter

Here are some pictures and a video that were taken this past weekend. Easter was great this year. First, the kids loved decorating the Easter eggs. Kristi was a very good artist and Brandon loved to throw the eggs and hear the crack of their shells. In the morning, we had an Easter egg hunt which didn't last long at all. Next year we will have to hide them a little better. Then the kids found the present that the Easter bunny left them. Brandon got a workhorse with play screws, nails, hammer and screwdriver. Kristi got a Barbie that sings while you do her hair. After that we went to brunch with Grandma Sherrie, Uncle Shaun, Aurora and Cousin Jordin. Grandma Sherrie got them a bunch of candy and little toys. After hanging out with with everyone, Grandma and Papa took Kristi to see Monsters VS Aliens. Kristi loved watching the movie and sharing a coke and popcorn with them. After the movie was over, we had Easter dinner at our house with Grandma, Papa and Aunt Tara. For Easter presents, Grandma and Papa got Brandon a wood train block set and Kristi her first set of roller skates. It is always a challenge to get her to take the off.

Abby Girl!

Grandma and Papa finally gave into Kristi's pleas for a puppy! This is our 8 week old beagle, Abby. She is very smart, loving and is adjusting to our family nicely.

Kristi's Pre-School Spring Program

his past Saturday, Kristi's preschool put on a very cute performance for family and friends. Halfway through the show Brandon fell asleep. I still don't know how he stayed asleep with it being so noisy. After the show the kids served cookies and lemonade. Here are some pictures and videos from her program.

Denver Museum & House of Bounce

This past Monday Chad took the day off and we had a fun family day gallivanting around town. First, we took a trip to Kristi's favorite place the Denver Museum. We visited the Wildlife Halls, kid Discovery Zone, Nature Unleashed and of course the dinosaurs. Here are a few pictures from the museum.

Since the museum took up most of our morning, we spent the afternoon at House of Bounce. It is a fun play for kids to burn off all of their energy bouncing around in their big bouncers. Kristi is now a professional bouncer, and Brandon enjoyed going down the slides with his sister. Here are a some pictures and a couple videos.

February 2009

Since it has been a long time since I have updated our blog here is the highlights for February.

February has been a big month for Brandon! On February 3rd Brandon started pulling himself to stand and the next day he started crawling! Just after that you could see his 6th tooth start to break through. On February 20th he started cruising and is doing very well at it. He will crawl to the coffee table, pull himself up and walk around it many, many, many times. He is now starting to get more brave and will let go of the coffee table, turn around and take a step by himself to cross to the couch. Now he cruises and crawls EVERYWHERE. He can now crawl up our big staircase in the entryway. I swear this boy will not sit still!

Kristi has been doing very well at preschool. She had her class picture taken and it is so cute. I can now see faces to the names she always talks about. The picture is below and she is in the second row, third one in wearing the white blouse with pink vest. Recently, her class has learned about what foods are healthy and what foods are junk. Everything she eats she will always ask if it's healthy or junk. Funny girl. She has also loves her brother very much. If she thinks someone is being mean to him she will set you straight.
