Christmas

On Christmas Eve, we took the kids downtown to see the Denver Zoo Lights. It was very chilly, but we had a wonderful time. On the way there, Kristi and Brandon both fell asleep in the car. However, they were both wide-eyed with excitement when they seen all the lights!

Trying to stay warm in all of the layers of clothes and blankets.

They had the zoo train running and decorated with lights so we had to take a ride.

The zoo had the elephant and giraffe indoor exhibits open so people could come inside and warm up.

Christmas morning finally arrived and the kids were so stoked to see all the presents that Santa left them. Kristi was especially excited to see how busy Santa was at our house.

Brandon did very well opening his presents. While he was fascinated with the wrapping paper he couldn't resist the urge to rip it.

Kristi was so excited to get the toy that she asked Santa for. Kota the Triceratops was number one on her wish list for Santa.

Brandon got this Learning Home that he LOVES. Kristi sets on one side of the door and he on the other and the play together for the longest time.

Christmas afternoon was spent first at Grandma and Papa's house. They had loads more presents there to tear into. Grandma Sherrie came over to our house later that afternoon. I unfortunately forgot to take pictures of the kids with Grandma Janet, Papa and Grandma Sherrie - Sorry Guys! Chad and I were very busy putting together a sea of toys so that the kids could play with them.

Enjoying the Season

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids enjoying our Christmas tree.

What is winter without a snowman? Kristi wanted to make a snowman that looks like daddy. So, we put spiky twigs on the snowman's head to make it look like Chad's hair.

Celebrating the Holidays at Preschool

This past month, Kristi's preschool has been teaching the kids about Christmas and Hanukkah. She learned songs about Christmas and Hanukkah for the holiday caroling performance. There were a lot of parents there, so I tried my best to get a picture and some videos of her singing. Kristi is wearing a black and white shirt and she is sitting on the right hand side.

Kristi also made a beautiful pine cone Christmas ornament in school.

Kristi's teacher, Mrs. Carbone gave her this book to read and enjoy.

She also wrote this on the inside...

Kristi even made us a present in school.

Kristi also got to make Reindeer food.

And of course, make a gingerbread man!

Standing Tall and Winter Fun

In these past few weeks Brandon has been more courageous with his efforts to walk. He now stands to play with his toys and most the time lets go to practice getting his balance. A handful of times he has even tried to move his feet while balancing on his own. As far as the crawling goes, he has no problem going backwards. He also loves to roll around to get from place to place.

On Thanksgiving weekend Kristi helped me decorate the house with all of our Christmas decorations. She LOVED going through all the Christmas things and putting them out. Here is a picture in front of our tree. Doesn't it look like Brandon is kissing her hand? :)

Here are some pictures of Kristi and Chad playing out in the snow. It was nice that they had father/daughter time together.

Kristi going snowmobling...

Snow angels...

Ha, Ha, Ha! They couldn't get me behind the glass door!

The Downtown Aquarium

This past Monday Chad took the day off, so we decided to head down to the Downtown Aquarium. We had lunch right across the street from the Aquarium and let a bunch of school kids go through it first. So, after we had a nice lunch together we headed over to the Aquarium. When we got inside there was hardly anyone there. :) Here are some pictures and videos of our fun time together.

Scuba Kristi and Brandon reporting for duty!

Brandon was very curious about everything around him. He tried to touch/grab every little thing.

Kristi and Daddy loved running around together.

Brandon and a rattlesnake!

Look at that stingray daddy.

Yucky eel!

Hey there turtle friend

Sharks - sweet!
